During 17 to 26 August, 2018 WFP China Office organized the Training Workshop on National Grain Reserve and Food System Management, with support from National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration (NAFRA) of China. A total of 17 participants joined the workshop, including technical experts, management personnel for food authority from governments of Niger, Tanzania, Egypt, Uganda, Senegal as well as WFP officers from respective Country Offices and Regional Bureau of Nairobi. Within the ten-day workshop, participants attended the 2018 China Grain Trade Conference in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province and paid technical visits to BeiDahuang Rice Industry Group, Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Harbin City, and to local grain quality inspection centre and rural warehouse in Suihua city. In Beijing, the participants also visited COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute and Academy of State Administration of Grain.
