From 22 to 23 October, 2018 Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Resilience including Early Warning System and Rapid Assessment was successfully convened in Beijing, with support from Ministry of Emergency Management and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. The event was organized by WFP in collaboration with National Centre of Disaster Risk Reduction of China (NDRCC), the central technical agency for disaster reduction and management in China. Around 50 representatives including 18 participants from 6 country governments of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Peru, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste, and WFP Regional Bureau of Bangkok, Chinese government agencies, academia, and technical agencies attended the Seminar. This two-day event was unfolded with one-day meeting discussion and one-day field visit.
