From 28 October to 3 November 2018, WFP China Office organized the Training Workshop on Food Processing and Rice Fortification in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hunan Provinces in China. A total of 18 participants from 6 countries joined the workshop, including government representatives at institutional or technical level from the countries that have raised SSC needs in this area, namely Cote d'lvoire, Ghana, Nepal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, and Timor-Leste, as well as WFP officers from OSN, RBB, and respective Country Offices. Participants were exposed to China's solutions on food processing and rice fortifying technologies through lectures by Chinese experts, and technical visits to rice processing plants, mills, farmer cooperatives, fortification lines in Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces.
