2021 Round-Table Conference of Silk Road International Chambers of Commerce was held on 11 May in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. At the conference, Mme. Maha Ahmed, Deputy Country Director of WFP China, shared the role of WFP in humanitarian action, global development and the initiative to strengthen extensive cooperation with all stakeholders for global food security. Representatives from about 20 countries exchanged views and insights for agricultural cooperation and rural poverty reduction. All participants agreed that poverty alleviation is the common desire of all developing countries and that China had made remarkable achievements in this regard.
