The Global Economic Development and Security Forum, co-organised by Boao Forum for Asia and the Hunan provincial government, was held from 18 to 20 October 2021 in Changsha, Hunan Province. Dr. Qu Sixi attended the forum and delivered a speech themed Challenges on Food Security Today and Our Responses. In the speech, he highlighted the serious challenges faced by the humanity towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals due to the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and global economic recessions.
