Training Workshop on Harvesting and Post-Harvest Mechanization to Support Food Security in Asia and Africa

During 21 to 27 May 2018, WFP China Office, together with ESCAP-CSAM and Nanjing Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of China (NRIAM) jointly organized a Training Workshop on Harvesting and Post-Harvest Mechanization to support Food Security in Asia and Africa in Shanghai and cities in Jiangsu. This event is part of South-South Cooperation efforts of China Office based on our 2018 SSC work plan. It brought together 13 delegates from 10 countries including Cambodia, Cameroon, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The training workshop proceeded through lectures, presentations as well as field trips with an overall objective to promote sustainable agriculture in Asia and Africa by sharing China's knowledge and development experience in harvesting and post-harvest mechanization technologies with other countries.
