Sun Junmao, PhD, is the current Deputy Director and researcher of Institute of Food and Nutrition Development of MOA. He graduated from Qingdao Agricultural University in 1989 and received his PhD of Management from Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science. 

Now He is also the deputy general secretary and office director of the State Food and Nutrition Consultant Committee, deputy director of the Risk Assessment Laboratory of the Quality of the Agricultural Products and Nutritional Functions of Ministry of Agriculture, Chief Scientist of the Innovative Team of the Alimental and Nutritional Strategy. He serves as the executive member of the Chinese Nutrition Society and Associate Editor of the Food and Nutrition in China.
