The 11,000-sq m Xi'an point-of-origin warehouse is composed of a core production warehouse where grading, sorting, processing, packaging, and delivery occur and 10 cold storage facilities capable of storing a total of 30,000 tons of fruits and vegetables. It was officially put into operation on Nov. 16, 2020 and can complete 150,000 orders per day. Every apple that makes its way to the warehouse's intelligent sorting line is washed in a water tank, sprayed, and dried in order to emphasize their healthy and appealing nature. They are then photographed 120 times from various angles, and quality inspection instruments record data related to surface bruises, size, weight, rottenness, sugar content, acidity, and other areas in only six seconds. The equipment in the warehouse can process 10 tons of apples' worth of data per hour – the equivalent of 100 people working efficiently.

The Xi'an point-of-origin warehouse and Xi'an Cainiao Intelligent Logistics Center serve Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and constitute the largest digital warehouse distribution system for agricultural products in northwest China. They mostly house and facilitate the sale of apples and kiwifruits from Shaanxi; apples, pears, and dried fruit from Xinjiang; and muskmelons and cantaloupes from Yanliang. Currently in full operation now that the Xi'an point-of-origin warehouse has come online, the system plays a very important role in supporting the upward sale of agricultural products and empowering the people who produce the agricultural products that are stored and shipped through it.
