Story 1: Sister Guo is a 56-year-old rural woman who graduated from the fourth grade of elementary school and has never travelled far in her life. She is hardworking, good at research, and unwilling to be looked down upon. In 2015, as her hometown of Wuxiang County became one of the national comprehensive demonstration counties for rural e-commerce, Sister Guo was encouraged to participate in the county WeChat-shop training class, and she earned 1,500 yuan from her first order to sell walnuts to Guangzhou. The county quickly seized the example of Sister Guo and promoted it throughout the whole village, which built the confidence of the other villagers. Then, Sister Guo earned more than 10,000 yuan in March and more than 40,000 yuan in half a year, and even won the praise of Vice Premier Wang Yang.

Story 2:On May 19, 2017, a woman started uploading videos on Toutiao, one of new media platforms in China, mainly to share the customs and delicacies of her hometown of Lingshan in Guangxi province. Based on new social media platforms such as Toutiao,Xigua and Tiktok, she makes use of the advantages of social publicity to strengthen external communication and continuously expand the promotion and sales channels 3 Chen, Minli. E-commerce Makes the Countryside Better. of local specialty agricultural products.From 2018 to 2019, she promoted and sold more than 20 million per jin (approx. 12 million per kg) of agricultural and sideline products. The preliminary statistical output value exceeded more than 50 million yuan, benefiting more than 5,000 farmers; among them, the sales of poverty alleviation products reached more than 10 million yuan, benefiting more than 2000 households. Now known as "Sister Qiaofu 9", she has become one of the most popular grassroots celebrities in China in the field of agriculture, and her nickname also has become a high-profile national e-commerce brand.


image.pngStory 3:  As the first secretary of Yongan Village, Mr. Liu always thinks about how to guide farmers to get rich. In November 2018, he launched the "Honeycomb E-commerce" Entrepreneurial Project, leading local rural youths to set up an entrepreneurial team with ten core members and motivating more than 600 farmers to engage in e-commerce. Working under the concept of helping farmers with planning, publicizing, packaging and marketing, this project put emphasis on "Internet +" party-building, poverty alleviation, culture, agricultural products and tourism, aiming at increasing the role of e-commerce in the rural revitalization strategy.
