Technical Model of Moderate Salinized Cultivated Land Improvement in Ordos, Inner Mongolia

Surrounded by the Yellow River in the east and northwest of Ordos, influenced by climate, irrigation and drainage facilities, farming methods and other factors, the city has formed 1.95 million mu of saline-alkaline farmland.

Technical Model:

The improved technology system with "fertilizer cultivation, soil improvement and salt removal" as the core was constructed, including five main technologies: application of decomposed farm manure, application of humic acid, straw returning to the field, deep pine (silt ridges) and planting of saline-alkali tolerant crops.

Technical Principle:

By increasing soil organic matter content, soil fertility level was improved, soil physical properties were improved, water heat conduction was promoted and nutrient availability was increased in soil. Break the plough bottom, improve the soil aggregate structure, increase the microbial activity, and remove salt to alkali.

Technical Effect
