Microwave drying: Microwave drying has a significant effect on the heating rate, quality and enzyme activity of rice, resulting in a stronger adhesion between water in various forms and other rice components. Microwave-treated samples have smaller internal cracks than those subject to hot air drying.

Infrared drying: Infrared drying can lower the rice moisture content by 2.17 percentage points within one minute, which will decrease by another 1.20 percentage points in the subsequent natural cooling process, with no additional energy inputs required. In the early stage of drying, the average rate of infrared drying is 21 and 186 times that of hot air drying and natural air drying, respectively.

Transverse ventilation of bungalow-style warehouses: The transverse ventilation system of bungalow-style warehouses consists of sealed grain stacks, transverse ventilation pipes, fans and temperature and humidity monitors.

Circumfluence ventilation and temperature equalization: Below shows how temperature equalization works. Before the scheme is implemented, doors, windows and the like need to be sealed, and grain piles do not need to be covered. Air flows from the bottom ventilation ducts to the surface of the grain piles through the fan so the cold air within the grain piles circulates continuously to equalize the temperature. There are two mainequipment parameters: The unit air volume ranges from 0.3 to 0.6 m3/t·h, and the wind speed along the ducts is generally no more than 12 m/s.

On-site drying of high grain piles: Incorporate two layers of ducts into the above-ground ventilation cages. While the existing duct system at the lower layer remains unchanged, a layer of ducts are added in the middle of the grain piles. The two layers of ducts, which are connected by pipes, support both forced ventilation and exhaust ventilation to solve the problem of precipitation uniformity.
