Two Important Storage Techniques Promoted in China

Air-conditioned Storage;Technical Solution;Cryogenic Storage

SHARE:
A+ A-

The first is cryogenic storage. Storage at low temperature or quasi-low temperature refers to the technology that uses natural low-temperature conditions or mechanical refrigeration equipment to reduce the storage temperature to a level below 15 ℃ or 20 ℃ and improve the stability of grain storage. The picture below shows a cryogenic storage warehouse and how it works.

The other is air-conditioned storage, which can be divided into three types. (1) Natural hypoxia: It is a storage technology that uses the respiration of organisms in grain piles to reduce the oxygen concentration under sealed conditions to prevent pest and mold growth and reproduction. (2) Nitrogen filling: It refers to the storage technology that fills high-concentration nitrogen into a closed warehouse to create an anoxic environment so as to reduce the vitality of pests until they are killed. (3) Carbon dioxide controlled atmosphere: It is a storage technology that increases the carbon dioxide concentration and reduces the oxygen concentration to kill pests in stored grain and lower grain respiration.
