Digital technologies play an important role in agricultural production and have become an important driving force in reducing poverty and achieving Zero Hunger. At the same time, the popularity of digital technologies has changed the way that knowledge is disseminated and shared, as digital tools and platforms have become an increasingly important modality for knowledge sharing. In the transition of the digital age, we are challenged to make adaptations and innovations for vitality into the course of South-South Cooperation

In line with WFP South-South and Triangular Cooperation Policy, WFP China Centre of Excellence for Rural Transformation promotes knowledge exchange and partnership building among developing countries, while synergizing with WFP’s global network and country programmes against food insecurity and malnutrition, in a way of leveraging expertise and recourses from all likeminded partners.

The WFP-China South-South Cooperation Knowledge Sharing Platform was launched exactly on April 15, 2022, one year ago, with support from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China, and technically supported by China Internet Information Center, under China International Communications Group. The Platform aims to build a knowledge hub, providing an enabling environment for partners to raise demands, share solutions and connect with each other for food security, nutrition improvement, poverty reduction and rural transformation.

In the future, the Platform will encourage more a two-way exchange among the Global South, will further enable mutual learning and reciprocally technical cooperation, will inform SSC needs analysis and review. The Cloud School will be crafted into a E-learning space with multilingual courses tailored to different needs.
