Upgrades in storage facilities, technological advancements, and the effects of climate change have significantly influenced the occurrence and development of grain pests. This article systematically elaborateson the current status and progress in grain pest identification and integrated control technologies in China. A comprehensive database covering over 50 pest species has been established to support pest identification, serving as a vital complement to traditional morphological identification methods. A multi-faceted approach to pest control is adopted, incorporating physical, chemical, and biological methods. To enhance grain storage management, an integrated control framework is proposed, combining intelligent monitoring, low-temperature storage, and emergency fumigation treatments. Looking ahead, continuous refinement of data systems and deeper integration of intelligent technologies will drive the evolution of green grain storage practices toward greater efficiency and innovation, providing valuable insights for global food security strategies.
